HealthNet TPO awarded for psychosocial services in
HealthNet TPO has been awarded by the government of Burundi for the psychosocial and mental health services to vulnerable groups suffering form post-traumatic disorders caused by emotional and psychological problems, socio-economic problems, displacements and refugee conditions. Mrs. Francoise NGENDAHAYO, Minister of National Solidarity, Human Rights and Gender gave a certificate of Honor to the country director of HealthNet TPO Burundi, Mr. Herman NDAYISABA for the commitment of HealthNet TPO Burundi in providing psychosocial services within communities and the excellent cooperation between our organization and the Ministry. Several high authorities attended the ceremonies and the local medias highly advertised the event.
Before the celebrations, the Minister gave a speech in which she said she appreciated a lot the approach and philosophy of work of HealthNet TPO mainly based on decentralization and sustainability of psychosocial activities. As for the representative of HealthNet TPO Burundi, he thanked the government for officially recognizing our contribution and participation in the rebuilding process of the country, even if psychosocial interventions are not very much physically visible like infrastructures and others. He concluded saying that he hoped things will continue to move forward for the welfare of the Burundian community. | ||||||
